Don’t Worry About Your Credit, God’s Got This!
If you’re like me, you have been through some trials and tribulations. While some may endure more or different trials than others, we all face them because we are humans created in God’s image. For many, these trials often come in the form of financial hardships. Whether you find it difficult to pay the bills, dealing with a credit score lower than your IQ, or just trying to get ahead, financial struggles can be difficult.
It’s easy to let our struggles bring us down, especially financial struggles. On occasion and sometimes rather often, I find myself in the midst of an attack from the enemy regarding my own credit and finances. The enemy attacks via doubt, blame, guilt, shame, and even memory. The doubt will convince you that your credit can’t possibly be improved. Blame will tell you that it’s all your fault and you deserve horrible credit. Shame will force you behind the closed doors of your home and into depression. Memories will come to mind to remind you of all the mistakes that you have made in your life to get you where you are now. While it is true that some habits can be harmful to your finances and credit in a major way, remember that it is easy to fall into these pits for a reason. Others benefit from your downfall, and it keeps the vicious cycle going.
However, these are some words from God that instruct us on how to handle such worry and stress:
Deuteronomy 31:8 (KJV)
“And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”
Psalm 34:7 King James Version (KJV)
“The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”
John 16:33 (KJV)
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
For people all across the nation, having a great credit score is more of a wish than a strategy. They hope they will get approved for that car. They apply for store credit just because the store clerk asked. They pay bills according to the amount of money they get paid that week. If this is you, that is why your credit score is shot! Thank God that you have found us because this no longer has to be your reality.
God can deliver you from where you are!
Psalm 40:1-3 King James Version (KJV)
“I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.”
God wants you to cry out to him for your answers. He is your salvation from the pit, from the “miry clay.” If you would reach out to him, allow us to come along side of you, and God can do a work in your credit.
You may ask, why fix it?
